About Me
Seyfert Galaxy, astronomer, regular stallion, soon to be family stallion. He is just your regular run of the mill earth pony; he’s quiet, shy, quirky, oblivious and at times a little stubborn. Seyfert isn’t a very social pony though he loves being around the few friends he does have, when he can get himself away from work that is. His favorite thing to do has always been and probably always will be working and studying space and all its wonders.
Seyfert and his younger sister Europa started life out being around astronomy all the time. His father Atlas was a renowned astronomer living in Canterlot, and his mother Ruby a well-known jeweler also from Canterlot. From as young as he can remember Seyfert has always been intrigued with space, he often went with his father to his observatory. At the age of five his parents got him his very own telescope and from then on he knew exactly what his special talent was. Not long after that his cutie mark appeared; a planet and stars.
After finishing high school Seyfert was accepted into the Canterlot University, where he spent the next eight years studying, earning his PhD in Astronomy. Soon after he graduated he was offered a job as the university’s astronomy professor. He didn’t hesitate accepting the job. Not long after that he learned his sister Europa was following in his footsteps, as an astronomer. He was overjoyed to hear this, though it would be awkward having his own sister in his classes. Not long after she started, Seyfert fell gravely ill, he was diagnosed with a very rare illness and underwent a very rough treatment for the illness, but he pulled through with only a scar on his chest to remind him of that part of his past. Soon after his recovery he went back to work and continued his life in Canterlot.
Then that fateful day, Seyfert got new that nearly did him in, his parents had been killed in an accident on their trip out of the country. This devastated both Europa and Seyfert, but Seyfert being the brother that he was swore he would look after Europa and make sure she finished her time at college. The stress from his teaching job and the loss of his parents almost drove him mad, his superiors saw this and decided a change of pace was in order. The assigned Seyfert to an observatory just outside Ponyville, where he could work alone and at his own pace. There he did research or the university and did a little freelance research for other institutions around Equestria and further, as well as for private individuals.
He soon became accustomed and comfortable with his new life in the small town, he even made himself a few friends, Aurora Heartnote, a local artist was one of his closest friends. Then there was Beak, his griffon friend he had met back in college.
I'm an all around nice guy although shy, give me the chance and I'll love and tolerate you till you go insane. The beautiful mare next to me is my fiance Stardust, we are getting married this fall. ^^ ((Seyfert is engaged, I am actually a loner IRL xD.
((I'm 24, currently recovering from Lymphoma and yearning to get back to work. As with Seyfert I am extremely shy but very friendly. Ever need someone to talk to or just to vent to don't be afraid to look me up. If I'm online I'll be happy to listen. ^^

Since people have been doing shoutouts I have a few ponies Ive met on here and that 'd like to mention, Day Dreamer and Aurora Heartnote, good friends, and outstanding artists, worthy of all kinds of attention. Kurin Kurai, you are awesome and a cool person to chat with, there aren't many people that can get me to just let loose and just chat, Professor, same thing, cool dude to just chat with. I'm sure I'll end up adding more names to this list but for now these are the folks I've come to know a little better and can say are a really cool group of folks. On a side note you may know me as Beak and Europa, the two accounts are me, I use them for RP.
