About Me

Óki ni’makáínnokaomitaa ihisiiyi’tsi! (Hello fellow My Little Pony Fans!). My name is Sinopáá, which means Little Fox in Blackfoot (Siksiká). My clan is the Northern Piikáni (Aapátohsipikán) that resides in Montana. My Grandfather left the reservation and moved across the country as an interstate missionary, eventually settling in the Quad Cities in Illinois to start a family. My parents decided to stay, so I’ve pretty much grew up here my whole life.

The label I give myself is that I’m a Native Gothic Otaku Brony (say that 3 times fast). My mother decided that I needed to be raised in my Native heritage since birth which I’m eternally grateful for. Alas, I was rejected by my peers in school for being Native American. I was lost until I found a family with the Gothic crowd who accepted me and taught me to appreciate the darker aspects of life. I view being both a Brony and a Goth as a Yin-Yang parallel which balances me out. Another Yin-Yang I balance I deal with is being a Transsexual. I'm currently in the beginning transition of becoming a whole woman, so I'm in a somewhat awkward phase of physically being both genders right now.

Another things to be aware of is that years of abuse has caused 2 very different personalities to fluctuate inside of me. While they share most of the same common interests, both sides have fairly different viewpoints and vastly different ways of interacting socially.

Yin Side: My Yin side is dark, brooding, and comes across as somewhat cold. When I'm in my Yin state I avoid people and try to keep everyone at arms length. I can still hold a conversation, but things like cracking silly jokes or showing emotion is almost non-existent. Also, it's best not to tick this side off. I will typically make her walk away from a situation if she is becoming too upset, as I hate having to clean up the mess afterwards.

Yang Side: My Yang side loves to joke around with everypony and does so constantly. Her humor style is so diverse that she can pull from everything ranging from slap stick to dark. My Yang states goal is to make someone laugh whenever she can, even at my own expense. That isn't to say that she doesn't know how to be serious when it is necessary, but she much prefers to be goofy. When I'm in my Yang state I become very giving and always offer a shoulder to cry on for anypony.

Personality: Painfully shy at first, but becomes outgoing over time if she becomes trusting. Tends to ask many questions when she doesn't understand something. Is also very friendly and giving whenever possible. She can be considered somewhat of a tomboy, though she does show her feminine side at times.
Family Life: No known living relatives. Has an adopted family in the desert with Chief Thunderhooves tribe.
Favorite Foods: Maize (corn) and cacti (especially the flowers off of a cactus)
Strengths: Has a very cool and level head, even during times of crisis. Is able to assess situations and frequently thinks outside of the box. Also has a keen sense of hearing and smell. Because of growing up in a harsh desert environment has excellent survival skills.
Weaknesses: Becomes very nervous in large crowds and in cities. Also dislikes loud noise and things with a strong stench. Due to growing up most of her life isolated in the desert she has a poor understanding of the outside world and often gets confused. Is also very superstitious of cultural beliefs (such as being afraid of owls as they symbolize oncoming death to her).
Occupation: None. Self sustains in the woods by growing her own food and living off of nature.
Hobbies: Beading, singing, pottery, and helping out nature whenever possible.
Combat training: Excellent stealth, trap, and survival techniques. Knows basic Chulukua-ryu (a form of Native American Martial Arts) and wrestling. Due to growing up around buffalo she is used to training against opponents that are much bigger and stronger than herself, so size doesn't intimidate her.
Combat Weaknesses: Open-ended environments with no strategic advantages. Also suffers against noisy opponents. Is not very effective against high-end modern technology as it typically confuses her.
Weaponry: All of her tools are nature based and usually made out of obsidian, leather, bone, and cedar. Favors short knives and tomahawks tided to her front legs.
Combat Style: Prefers to fight at a distance using her environment against an enemy. Loves attrition and wearing his opponent out. Doesn't hesitate to use "cheap" tactics like sand to the eyes.

Back Story: Óki o'kio makainnokaomitaa (Hello every pony). My name is Sinopáá, which means "Little Fox" in your language. Well...it's actually my Native name which was given to me by Chief Thunderhooves. I received it by going on a journey of self discovery and was guided by my spirit animal which turned out to be a fox. I don't remember what my pony name is much of what my life with other ponies used to be though. You see, I lost my parents to a train accident at the age of six.

We were traveling from Dodge Junction to Ponyville by train and ran out of coal in the middle of the desert. In the end I was the only survivor. Luckily Chief Thunderhooves tribe found me wandering the desert and adopted me in. I've lived with his small tribe on the outskirts of the desert with the buffalo for 20 years. On my 25th birthday I decided to go on another journey to discover what my pony life was like and came to Ponyville.

However, I struggle with understanding your society and busy lifestyle. The loud noise and bright lights of your towns were too much for me to handle, so I moved into Everfree Forest. I periodically come into Ponyville from time to time to try to understand your culture though. Typically I spend my days with Zecora and take care of the animals in the forest.

My cutie mark is a Yin-Yang symbol which I received it on my first journey. It appeared when I learned the balance between positive and negative energy and the true meaning of life and death in this world.
