Indigo Moon

Hi i'm Indigo.

i'm a pegasus from cloudsdale son of a former Wonderbolt (Berry Bolt) and a Royal Guard (Silver Moon), as you can imagine my parents had high hopes for me growing up. so when i was old enough they sent me to Junior Speedsters flight Camp. it was fun and i made a lot of good friends there, but in the end racing wasn't what i was meant for.

You see during my training i lost control on a sharp bend and went crashing into a cave. turned out this cave was owned by a rather unwelcoming dragon. needless to say the dragon won and i spent several weeks with my wings in casts and several more weeks waiting for my tail to grow back.

While i was grounded i spent a lot of time staring up at night at the stars so i started visiting the Cloudsdale observatory to learn more about them. they were more than happy to put me to work and the day before my casts were to be removed i found it! a giant purple colored comet like nothing anypony had seen before and right then i knew that's what i was meant for. my cutie mark appeared that night. a bright yellow moon with a purple comet.

So now i work at the observatory Reporting to Princess Luna about anything interesting i find. i love my job

My Pet:
I met my pet Bat Nocti when i was on an adventure with my friend Cogswirl. we were separated when the ground collapsed and a fell into an underground tunnel. the hole i fell through was blocked with rubble, i had no light and couldn't even see my hoof in front of my face. most of the bats scattered and fled the moment i landed but one didnt. she landed on my back and started whistling. she would tap my sides with her wings as i was walking and after a few collisions i realised she was warning me of obsticles and telling me what directions to turn. after a few hours wandering she led me to the cave entrance where Cogswirl was sitting with a smug smile on his face.
i expected her to fly off back to her cave when we started to leave. but instead she just stayed pirched on my back. she's been my constant companion ever since.
A couple months later Cogswirl made me a special set of goggles that could pick up the sound of Nocti's sonar pulses and create an image so i could see in the dark.
